Rehabilitating Ataxia with Interactive Metronome Self-Study

Course Description:

There are many conditions and a variety of techniques included in clinical management of Ataxia. Just as the presentation of ataxia may vary, so too can the application of the Interactive Metronome (IM) Program within this population group – a key to treatment planning, therefore, is flexibility in its customized application. As length of stay and duration of rehabilitation are under constant scrutiny, it is vital to approach clinical management of patients with ataxia with fresh, creative and effective modalities that measurably demonstrate a patient’s progress. This course will provide a broad base of knowledge to cover all clinical establishments and to give IM providers the tools they need to transition to the next step in treatment planning and in applying their use of the IM toward functional treatment outcomes. Course material will be in power-point style with easy to reference lists and learning tools. Photographic examples and video media will be presented to illustrate salient points.
